A Bit of Background
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (“GFWC”) can trace its history to 1868. GFWC is one of the oldest and largest women’s service organizations dedicated to community improvement through community service. The Swartz Creek Chapter began in 1940, was federated in 1941, and continues to have a spirited and vibrant membership making vital contributions to our Swartz Creek community
If you are interested in participating in community projects and making lasting friendships, GFWC Swartz Creek Women’s Club is the club to join.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, at 6:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Swartz Creek, in the Johnson Center. Dues are $35/year (pro-rated).

Compassion Outreach
Due to Covid 19, we all have been touched personally in some way or another. However, what is amazing is the compassion our club members have. Yes, our club members could have chosen to sit around with despair, but each one of them carried hope and love in their hearts to our community. We have club members volunteering to work in our local food pantry; club members sewing face masks; club members reaching out to each other offering help with grocery shopping, or just calling each other making sure we are all a-okay.
With these acts of kindness, it is easy to say, ‘I am proud that I am a club member of GFWC Swartz Creek Women’s Club,’ not only because of the volunteer hours for fundraising, just so we can donate it all away to worthwhile causes, but because of each one of these club members. Their heart reaching out to others is what makes this Club what it is today. Strong Hands . . . Caring Hearts!
